A new work VILLAGE MUSIC (2009) for electric guitar, electric bass and extended drumset - 9' - Publisher: Fennica-Gehrman-Finland MUSICA DI MONTAGNA for trumpet, double bell trumpet, didgeridoo, alphorn, accordion and bass clarinet won the 2nd prize in the contest for the ensemble CRAS as well as a special award for an inventive composition ). The first performance took place at the Sibelus Academy's great concert hall on November the 27th New concerto for piccoloflute and orchestra written in honour of Alfa Kaza, this concerto bears the name "Kotokoli". The Kotokoli are an ethnic group in Togo and Benin. They are famous for their flute music played on a special flute, which sound reminds of a Western piccolo flute. This concerto is a tribute to this tribe. ABENTEUERLICHE SCHWALBENREISE is a new opera for children commissioned by the company OPERA + MORE. The inspiring libretto was written by the famous Austrian painter and writer Irmgard Klell. The stage directing was made by Reinhard Deutsch. The story is about migrating swallows, who experience exiting adventures on their trip to Africa. The premiere should have taken place in May 2008 in the "Theater Spielraum" , Vienna, which is thr oldest cinema of Europa and was converted to a lovely intim theatre. Due to several reasons the first performance has been postpoded to the end of the year 2008. Every scale or mode will be introduced by a description of its use, historical context and more. A section explaning different tuning systems and a large index will complete the book. An appendix with a special interval finder will give you a graphic picture of the interval structe on every scale and mode in the book, making it easy to find whatever you are looking for: a maqâm, a râga, a greek mode or a microtonal scale.
